The village of Le Val

The villages of Provence Verte

The villages of Provence Verte are all recognizable by their typical Provençal charm, their cobbled streets, their historical remains, their fountains and their shaded squares. We advise you to go through Barjols and its 38 fountains, Correns crossed by the Argens, Cotignac with its troglodyte dwellings, Carcès which is wrapped around its medieval castle, Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume with its basilica, Tourves with the remains of the Château de Valbelle and finally through Nans-les-Pins and its old town.

Natural sites

Near the gîte Le Verger, natural sites are to be discovered. Many hikes and walks cross Provence Verte. 

The Grand Baou Waterfall is a little corner of paradise in the middle of nature, where you can organize a picnic and take a walk.

The Hill of Paracol is also a must, reach its chapel by a pleasant hike. 

The wine route

Provence is known for its wines. Three appellations make up the Wines of Provence: Côtes de Provence, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence. Take one of the many wine routes in the region and stop at an estate to discover the vineyards as far as the eye can see and take part in an instructive tasting.

Provencal markets

Provençal markets are renowned for being colorful and fragrant. Stroll between the stalls of market gardeners and do your shopping. Producers from all over the region come to present their production in a friendly atmosphere. Olives, fish, tapenades, cheeses, fruits and vegetables will end up in your basket. The market in Le Val is held on Friday morning.

The town of Brignoles

In a few minutes drive, you will be in the center of Brignoles. This charming town is worth the detour. Indeed, it will seduce you with its Old Center, its Place Caramy and its large Provençal market on Saturdays. Brignoles is a lively town, we invite you to come to the plum festival or its medieval festivals in August.
